Rejection

I’ve always been more into indie music/movies/books versus commercial works. Truth is, the subject matter of Round Trip is touchy, and stories with mentally challenged protagonists don’t sell well. Certainly not in the all-coveted genre of lesbian romance. My first and only rejection letter had me wondering if Round Trip would be too big a risk for a traditional publisher of queer books to take. I’m guessing it would.

Still, I believe readers will enjoy the fuck out of Round Trip.  Ergo, I’ll pour my heart into self-publishing my debut novel.  I’ll do the marketing, create the book cover, and obtain the best editor I can afford. In fact, the prospect of having full control of this process excites me.

I’ll see you on the flip side of traditional publishing,
